System-Wide Celebration! National Library Week – The Third Annual ALA READ Celebrity Posters! From April 9th through May 19th we’ll be showing off YOU! Come in and pose with your favorite book, DVD, CD, magazine and raise awareness for literacy, libraries and the importance of reading. Be looking for the flyer at your library and in the event guide on what you need to do --- we'll have past READ celebrities on display and will be waiting for YOU to join the 2018 RPL READ celebrities!

Side walk sale to benefit Children's Miracle Network at CHRISTUS St. France Cabrini Hospital. All monies raised stay in our community to help our children with health therapies, programs in our 17 school based health centers, and our neonatal unit.

Miss Black Empowerment presents “Meet the Greeks” on April 28, 2018 @ Frank O’ Hunter Park in Alexandria, La @ 2pm-6pm. This event is geared towards high school juniors and seniors, but it’s open to everyone. Students will have the opportunity to receive information on each of the Divine 9 (African American Fraternities & Sororities), as well as Mason and OES. During this event, we will also conduct a Voter’s Registration Drive, which encourages our youth and non-voters to sign up to vote, so we can “Be The Change We Want To See”.

League of Trucks will be Saturday, April 28 at the Lake Buhlow boat launch area in Pineville from 9 am to 1 pm with a silent hour from 10-11:30 am.
