7th Annual Le Tour de Bayou
Colorfully decorated bikes seem to be popping up throughout the area, which only means one thing: Le Tour de Bayou is quickly approaching. Friday, September 14th, the grounds of the Kent Plantation House become a whirl of activity with packet pickups and last minute registration beginning at 9AM to 5PM closing. This wonderful community event resumes early Saturday at 5:30AM, September 15, for last minute registration and packet pickup. Bikers begin to line the driveway at dawn starting the festivities off with the Blessing of the Bikes.

What Would Jane Do?
A week shared with 25 young ladies, ages 8-12, learning pastimes from Jane Austen's era. Ladies will complete art projects, decorate their Regency bonnets, learn the language of fans, create cross stitch projects with our Quilters, practice etiquette, journal, write proper thank you letters, practice using artist points and ink, attend and host authentic tea parties, and so much more!

It's a venue for producers and consumers come together, forge relationships, and exchange information. Bakers and jam-makers are some of the featured vendors, crafting their products by hand.
Savory or sweet, spicy or mild, you will find products to place on your evening table. Come visit Kent Plantation House Front Yard Market, Thursday, June 14th, from 3-6pm. This month, 15 vendors, will be offering goodies that tempt the senses! Stop by, there is plenty of room for visiting in our Front Yard.
