The Modern Mobility Study Open House Meeting is an opportunity for residents and stakeholders to learn about the transportation planning process for Central Louisiana. Participants can view maps and displays, share ideas, and identify mobility challenges in Alexandria, Pineville, and throughout Rapides Parish. The feedback collected will help shape future transportation projects and priorities. All community members are encouraged to attend and provide input.

The Cenla Authors' Club is open to authors and writers of all levels and genres, and anyone interested in learning more about the book-writing process, even if you haven't written your first word (yet!). This month's speaker is playwright, actor, author and director JEFF GOELZ, a founding force in the SPECTRAL SISTERS play group. He will speak on playwriting, plays, the Spectral Sisters (and maybe we might even see a mini-play in person also!)

In this hands-on STEM program, kids will learn about chemical reactions and polymers while making their own batch of realistic, fluffy “snow.” Participants will explore how certain materials absorb water, expand, and mimic real snow, then use their creations for fun sensory play and experiments. Perfect for curious kids who love science and a little winter wonder!

Our Author of the Month for January is local author Shannon Williams. Join us as Shannon Williams reads from and signing her book, Non-Verbal. Writing has always been Shannon's refuge. She finds solace in the power of words. In addition to her books, Shannon is also a passionate poet, weaving emotions into verses that speak to the heart.
Shannon Williams is from Alexandria, LA, where she finds inspiration in the warmth in southern hospitality and the rich tapestry of her community. She has 3 children, 7 Godchildren, and a precious granddaughter.
