The 7th annual “Creative Con” gathers fans of books and all varieties of pop culture together in one place. Activities include a variety of Fandom panel discussions and come dressed as your favorite book, comic, or movie character and compete for best costume. It was a book before it was a movie, game, or TV show. Open to children of all ages, teens, and adults.

WHAT IS QI GONG?
Originating in ancient China roughly four thousand years ago, Qi Gong or Qigong (pronounced Chee Gong, literally “Life Energy Cultivation”) is an ancient system of coordinated body postures and movements combined with deep breathing and meditation. It is a powerful tool used to stimulate good health, spirituality, and a state of calm

Yoga is offered free of charge every Tuesday at Alexandria Museum of Art. Yoga instructor, b. Hedrick is an ascetic Taoist yogi with fourteen years of yoga practice. Yoga Tao is for all experience levels, incorporating spirit-mind-body techniques.

The YWCA After School Program is gearing up for an exciting school year. We accept children ages four to thirteen years old. Arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor activities, and movies are all part of this year’s schedule. Time is set aside for homework (if requested by the parent). We have a counselor in the homework room to help the children with their homework daily.
The YWCA's Summer Day Camp program is for children ages 4-12. Children are separated into groups based on age and gender. Children enjoy daily activities which include indoor and outdoor games, arts and crafts and swimming. Weekly activities include field trips (Slinkees, Chuck E. Cheese's, Skateville) and Friday Finales (Water Day, Field Day, Double Dirty Obstacle Course).
Registration Fee: $45 ($15 discount during the month of March)

As a service to the community, the YWCA will now provide a regularly scheduled American Heart Association CPR Certification Classes for both Healthcare Workers and the general public.
Classes will be held on the third Saturday of each month at the YWCA at 1831 Turner Street. Basic Life Support Healthcare Providers needing to be certified or re-certified can attend the morning session and members of the general public who wish to take the Heartsaver class and be CPR certified can attend the afternoon class.
37th CHRISTUS Cabrini Foundation Annual Ball. Entertainment will be provided by Three Thirty Seven Band and proceeds will benefit CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital's new intensive care unit.
