The annual conventions for the state beekeepers association will be held this year in Pineville at the Country Inn & Suites Convention Center December 5-7. Special guest speakers and break out sessions will be available for all levels of beekeepers - beginning to advanced. If you want to learn more about beekeeping, please join us!
The Arna Bontemps African American Museum & Cultural Arts Center is hosting a "Family History Workshop."
The event will be held at the museum located in Downtown Alexandria at 1327 Third Street (Corner of St. James & Third) from 11am-1pm.

Group fitness instructors will lead back-to-back Zumba classes for a morning full of high energy and fun. This event is free for members of LAC and $10 for non-members. All paperback books and audiobooks on tape are .50 cents. All hardcover books, audiobooks on CD and DVDs are $2.00 each.
Proceeds from the sale go toward the purchase of various library materials including equipment and supplies.

Alexandria Senior High is celebrating 50 Years of Excellence. Join us for the Tailgate that begins at 4:30 until 6:30. Next we will cheer on the Trojans for their homecoming game against Green Oaks. Enjoy our annual Halloween storytelling event appropriate for all ages. Oba William King, tours nationally presenting programs of story, song, and drum for all ages, and all cultures. Along with Brian and Terri Kinder’s lively and interactive children’s musical entertainment, children are in for a treat this year. From 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm, award-winning local storyteller Sylvia Davis will spin tales that are sure to spook an older crowd. Come in costume, if you like and be sure to bring your own blankets, or chairs to spread out on the Kent House lawn.
Come join us for the annual Fullerton Sawmill Day which will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the Fullerton Lake Recreation Complex of beautiful Kisatchie National Forest. This fun, educational event for all ages will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and is FREE TO THE PUBLIC. Old-fashioned games, horse and pony rides, quilting demonstrations, along with grist mill, drag saw, and blacksmith presentations will help attendees appreciate life in the early 1900’s.
