The annual conventions for the state beekeepers association will be held this year in Pineville at the Country Inn & Suites Convention Center December 5-7. Special guest speakers and break out sessions will be available for all levels of beekeepers - beginning to advanced. If you want to learn more about beekeeping, please join us!

Support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by attending the Zumbathon hosted by the Louisiana Athletic Club in Pineville on November 23rd from 9am-12pm. Group fitness instructors will lead back-to-back Zumba classes for a morning full of high energy and fun. This event is free for members of LAC and $10 for non-members. The Friends of the James C. Bolton Library will hold a book sale on the LSUA campus on Tuesday, October 22 and Wednesday, October 23 from 9:00am-5:00pm both days. The sale will take place on the first floor of the library.
All paperback books and audiobooks on tape are .50 cents. All hardcover books, audiobooks on CD and DVDs are $2.00 each.
Proceeds from the sale go toward the purchase of various library materials including equipment and supplies.
