AlexWinterFête kicks off at 5 p.m. with ice skating and the traditional Holiday Magic celebration in downtown Alexandria. Come see the lighting of the City Christmas Tree and welcome Santa Claus as he arrives. Also watch special holiday performances from area dance and theater groups. At 6:30 p.m.
Come shine with AMoA during Winter Fete during our Winter Fete Illuminated Procession! Come walk with our giant snowman, Christmas tree, Polar Bear and new surprise character! We'll line up at 5:30 and roll at 6pm.
Need something to carry? We have small luminaries and hats available on a first come first serve basis to borrow. Want to make your own luminary? Join us on November 21 at 6 pm for the Community Luminary Workshop and make your own illuminated elf hat or giant Christmas bulb bling!

Alexandria’s Garden District Neighborhood Foundation has been working hard to present the 6th Annual Garden District Holiday Tour of Homes to be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019, from 3:00-7:00 p.m.
Four historic homes will be open for tour in the historic Garden District, each with individual history and architectural character. Tour participants begin their tour at the St James Episcopal Church, located at Murray Street and Bolton Avenue, where they can pick up their tickets and tour the beautiful historic
Holy Savior Menard High School invites all students in grades PreK3-6th grade to attend the Sixth Annual Christmas at the Nest, on Tuesday, Dec. 3 from 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. The evening will start in the school gymnasium with storytime with award-winning storyteller, Sylvia Davis. After storytime the fun will continue in the school mall area with Christmas crafts and games, light refreshments, and pictures with Santa. This event is FREE and open to the public.
The Calvary Conservatory of Music String Orchestra and Handbell Choir will present their Christmas concert. It will start a 7:00 pm in the Calvary Chapel. Everyone is welcome to this free concert to start the Christmas season.
Old Fashioned Christmas at Kent House is a FREE family event. There will be plenty of Christmas crafts for children to take home with them and they can decorate the Kent House Christmas Tree with old fashioned popcorn and cranberry garland and paper chains. There will be a visit from Papa Noel and free hot cocoa (or lemonade if it's warm outside) and cookies for all to enjoy.
