Teen Tech is usually celebrated for just one week in March - The Rapides Parish Library is using the entire month to celebrate and ensure that teens are competent and ethical users of technologies, especially those that are offered through libraries such as DVDs, databases, audiobooks, and videogames. To encourage teens to use libraries' non-print resources for education and recreation, and recognize that librarians are qualified, professionals in the field of information technology.
The 7th annual “Creative Con” gathers fans of books and all varieties of pop culture together in one place. Activities include a variety of Fandom panel discussions and come dressed as your favorite book, comic, or movie character and compete for best costume. It was a book before it was a movie, game, or TV show. Open to children of all ages, teens, and adults.
Lightwire Theater has been featured as semi-finalists on NBC’s America’s Got Talent and winners of Tru TV’s Fake Off. The group combines theater and technology to bring stories to life in complete darkness and are internationally recognized for their signature brand of electroluminescent artistry.

Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun is an emotionally-charged play that explores the relationship between a disabled man, Robert and a young pregnant woman, Holly. The play, like real life, is a constant tug-of-war between humor and pathos, selfishness and selflessness, surviving and thriving. Claire Castle is utterly devoted to her 35-year-old son Robert who suffered a severe brain injury as a child that stunted his emotional and mental growth to that of a 7-year-old. As his sole caregiver, Claire worries who will look after Robert when she is gone.
