Teen Tech is usually celebrated for just one week in March - The Rapides Parish Library is using the entire month to celebrate and ensure that teens are competent and ethical users of technologies, especially those that are offered through libraries such as DVDs, databases, audiobooks, and videogames. To encourage teens to use libraries' non-print resources for education and recreation, and recognize that librarians are qualified, professionals in the field of information technology.
The 7th annual “Creative Con” gathers fans of books and all varieties of pop culture together in one place. Activities include a variety of Fandom panel discussions and come dressed as your favorite book, comic, or movie character and compete for best costume. It was a book before it was a movie, game, or TV show. Open to children of all ages, teens, and adults.
