Fullerton Sawmill Day
Come join us for the annual Fullerton Sawmill Day which will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019, at the Fullerton Lake Recreation Complex of beautiful Kisatchie National Forest. This fun, educational event for all ages will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. and is FREE TO THE PUBLIC. Old-fashioned games, horse and pony rides, quilting demonstrations, along with grist mill, drag saw, and blacksmith presentations will help attendees appreciate life in the early 1900’s. As the largest sawmill west of the Mississippi River, Fullerton was a bustling town and participants at Sawmill Day may take guided tours of the ruins that once were Fullerton. Concessions and crafts are available for purchase. For more details, please call the Kisatchie National Forest Supervisor's Office at 318-473-7160.
