The Central La Juneteenth Assoc. would like to continue to educate our community on this important piece of history by celebration with variety of activities such as parades, barbecues, church activities, quiz bowl, a plethora of outdoor activities.
Teen Tech is usually celebrated for just one week in March - The Rapides Parish Library is using the entire month to celebrate and ensure that teens are competent and ethical users of technologies, especially those that are offered through libraries such as DVDs, databases, audiobooks, and videogames. To encourage teens to use libraries' non-print resources for education and recreation, and recognize that librarians are qualified, professionals in the field of information technology.
