A solo exhibition of paintings, sculptures, and photographs by artist Joe Ray (US,b.1944). The artist, who lives and works in Los Angeles, is a native of Alexandria, LA. Raised in Alexandria, Joe attended South Alexandria elementary school and Peabody Sr. high school, where he began painting and then received Louisiana state awards for his artwork. He then studied fine arts at the University of Southern Louisiana in Lafayette, then moved to Los Angeles in 1963. This exhibition is Joe Ray's homecoming, as an artist, to Alexandria where several generations of his family still reside.
